They may have oversold the 98 and had to substitute the new model. I think you should have no problem with sewing on it.

WE ordered the 98 and was shipped the 2000QI. Called and was told it replaced the the 98 so we tried it and love it! Only thing is make sure all your parts are there as have been problems with factory leacing out some parts so steal dealing with that issue from what was advertised.

Wow! I'd start sewing with it right away if I was you! As I understand it, the 2000 is the new improved model of the 98, and as others have already said, I think you got a great deal. (I've had a 98 for a couple of years and just LOVE it!)

If you can get a phone number I would suggest you call them. Talking is usuallly easier to explain something than email or snail mail, especially since you really need the machine NOW. Take care.

I have the Juki 98Q, that I quilt with on my frame. I have never had any problems with it and I can use it for days at a time. I usually do a quilt or two and then I take it off the quilting table and clean it very good. I oil it every day as I was told to do. They are really a good heavy duty machine.

According to the Juki Web site the TL98Q and the Tl1000QI are the same. Try going to Juki Sewing Machines on your search bar to verify.

I bought the Juki98Q & the gracie quilting table & the sure stitch regulator. I sold the table & sure stitch to my sister & kept my Juki98. She ordered a Juki 98Q & they sent the 2000. This machine is not compatable with the sure stitch regulator, so make sure if you buy it will work with your other equipment.
