MACHINE EMBROIDERY WITH QUILTING

I alternated Dear Jane blocks with plain blocks and 'quilted' the plain blocks with outline embroidery patterns from John Deer. The Dear Jane blocks were from an exchange on the Board in Christmas colors, so the embroidery patterns were snowflakes.
I have also used his feather embroideries to quilt blocks in another quilt. I think it works very well.
You do not need to use stabilizers, because the quilt sandwich is enough to stabilize the embroidery. It does take more time than 'regular' machine quilting, but I think it's worth it because of the added beauty of the embroidery.
