I purshased a box of colour catcher at JoAnns for 50% off it was cheaper but had 25 sheets in the box. Hven't tried them yet. But the shout works great.

Welcome from Montreal, Canada! I didn't know what color catchers were either! I always prewash my fabric, but even then, I sometimes get lazy and mix a few....with bad consequences. I will keep my eye out for color catchers too!

So many nice people on this site. And from so many places. Nice to see so many still doing the art of sewing. I tried to get my daughters interested in sewing in their teen years but they didn't want anything to do with it. Now they are sorry! Of course you are. Mama told ya! I am mostly a self taught sewer. Had home ec in high school and made one thing but then started sewing on my own after marriage. I love working with unwashed fabric thus my delimena now with my quilts but am so happy to learn about the color catchers. Always room to learn something new.

Welcome from Amarillo, TX. I also use Shout Color catchers not only with my quilts but also in laundry (especially when I just have one or two different colored items) and it works great. Love the people on this board.
