I think they might have had one for sale that needed a part or something and decided I'd never know the difference but the machine doesn't run the same at all. It really was a beautiful running machine, I only took it in for a tune up because that was what I read you should do every so often to keep it going smoothly, not because it needed any repairs. I'm going to try breaking it down and giving it a good cleaning. I can't make it any worse.

I am trying to get one on ebay and you can not touch them for less than $200! If you don't want it, "I" do!

go to ebay and put the 301 in a search and see what they are selling them for

Grab it FAST ! I own two 301's, and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! I have two friends that each own one, and we will never let them go. I piece all my quilts on those 301's !!!! I have one in cabinet and one portable, they are " LOVERLY" Grab it !

A 301 is gear driven not belt drive like so many others. It will sew leather- very strong machine. I'd snap it up in a minute.
