What a treasure for her teacher. She did very nice work!! You have made such great memories and created a bond between the two of you. My daughter made her first quilt and gave it to her boyfriend. I didn't like the idea at the time but, they are getting married on June 3rd, so I guess that she will see it often.

How sweet.

I have been teaching my GS who is now 5 to sew with my machines. Last time we were over to see them his 3 year old sister also sewed a bit. They both helped pin the quilt sandwich. Sure wish we lived closer so we could sew together more often.

Have sew much fun with your granddaughter. Tell her how everyone loves seeing her work. :-D

She is so awesome. What a great little quilter. You are so lucky to have a GGD to sew with. My GS could care less. I think her blocks line up better than mine. Does she give lessons LOL

What a beautiful job! And to be generous to give it to her teacher! Her teacher will treasure it for yours! Make sure she signs and dates it!!

What a charmer. She must really like that teacher, to give her a quilt she has worked so hard on.

Just let them work at their own pace, make mistakes and let them be. Instruct in patience and love. They will be more prone to stick with it. Childrens attention span is sometimes very short. So, compliment on what they have accomplished at each session and encourage them to finish.
 I posted on another page about grandaughter's sewing and that is what I am doing. She just doesn't think she is ready for the big time. When I show her this I am sure it will spur her on. I know that I don't have to tell you the joy of sewing with your DGD I just feel so good just watching her. DGC are such a blessing. BrendaK
