I quilt as I go, but I just do it my own way. I've read many instructions, all of which I find too complicated.

Ditter on the board did a tutorial. Do a search. It is good tutorial of a different way.

Also Sewing with Nancy has a video on her site with "Cotton Theory Quilting" which is yet another way.

I love doing quilt as you go because I can use my embroidery machine for quilt patterns on each block. So much fun!

i made my squares and put them on larger backing, brought the backing up and stitched blks together through the backing and then folded it over each blk. stitched it down and continued same with rows. went very fast.

Wow! You gals did a GREAT job on those QAYG quilts! I have only done table runners that were a type of QAYG - The first ones (done at class) turned out great, but then later on when I did some on my own, they were not as nice. Guess I sorta lost the technique.

ok, I think I came up with a way to share this pattern with everyone but couldn't figure it out on this site. So, I set up a tutorial page on my google site --

there's a download for it. you need Word to open it. Hope it works ok. if not, let me know.

    Enjoy !!
