    I'm so very sorry to hear about your friend! The quilt you made for her is stunning! It was obviously a labor of much love...hugs for you both!

    As to the "what do I say" thing...you just give it to her and say... "because I love you"! Words won't be a big deal...she'll know and you'll know and you'll both cry and bond...

    My heart goes out to you during this time. How loving for you to do this for your friend. And how lovely this quilt is! She'll feel your love every time she wraps herself in it.
