when making 2 adult bunny suits found out the long ruler and cutting mat with my rotory cutter work great for cutting the long sides and since then i use it to cut any type of pattern on the sraight parts.beats scissors any day and faster.

The love of my life always borrows my cool rulers with all of the lines when marking wood to cut it with the circular saw.

thank you didn't think of that but have used saucers or plates for curved areas

You can zip around pretty quickly with the small rotary cutters. I use them when cutting apple core templates too!

sounds like i will be investing in a small cutter. never saw a perpose for one before but i like this idea

DH and I use my largest cutting mat as a big place mat to protect my solid Oak table I waited all my life to own. I just drop it in the shower to wash it, if I need to cut fabric.
