For the life of me I can't remember what it is called.
Well, I call it "Ironing board cover" fabric. I have it on my large 60x80 table for ironing my quilt tops. Insulbrite is the stuff that goes inside for potholders, etc. Actually, the silver stuff is usually called "Teflon Ironing Board cover fabric."

BINGO!....sold for replacing your ironing board cover, great for making your own BIG board or even a little board to keep handy!

So the question really is...did you want the stuff for the INSIDE or the outside of your project.
The Teflon/Silver cloth is for the outside and Insulbrite BATTING is for the inside!

Insulbrite by The Warm Company is what I use and have always had great success with that product.

Lots of respondants didn't really read the WHOLE question, got as far as "pot holder" and glommed on to Insul-Brite.
Our poster states it's used for ironing board covers. I've used it for ironing board covers, pot holders, oven mitts and (ta-da!) jar covers for those jar blocks (I used my pintuck attachment to create the ridges in the canning lids).

I've always known it as teflon fabric, and have bought it quilted and UNquilted.

Here are two weblinks to the Nancy's Notion's website for both items, which she markets as "Iron Quick":
UNquilted: http://www.nancysnotions.com/product...uick+fabric.do

QUILTED: http://www.nancysnotions.com/product...uick+fabric.do
