Christmas Cactus in Bloom
#21
Mine is loaded with buds it usually has flowers for thanksgiving and will keep blooming until the end of Jan. Mine is a little larger than yours. I can't get my arms around it, it is huge!!! The stems in the base are like small trees. I have had it for over 17 years and keep it in a east window.

That is really cool!
Funny thing is that I just bought one yesterday for my Aunt...My Uncle had a green thumb and used to grow all sorts of things...he had a bunch of these Christmas Cactus in all colors that he had for years...when he started to fail...all of his plants died. I thought this might be a little memory for her...

Beautifiul. Thanks sharing the picture, and bringing back all our wonderful memories of Christmas cactus that we have known. Now who can put one in a block on a quilt??? Bet it would be an eye catcher.

Have enjoyed hearing about all the Christmas cactus you have.I know you're supposed to keep them in a very dark space for a while before they will bloom.Haven't done that, maybe next yr.BTW,the flower shop has an orange one & just have to have that color, tho I will keep looking.Flower shop is too $$ for me.

One of mine is blooming too, the red one. I think the position of where it is kept is the key. I have 3 more from the same batch and only one is blooming. That one was in my office and got complete darkeness at night. I think that that means something??
