Welcome, SadJuliette. Why are you so sad? I understood you very well. I'm sure we all are anxious to see what you have done.
Jackie, in Las Vegas.

N California sends her welcome! We are anxious to see what you have done.

Is it hard and/or expensive to get fabric in Italy?

patch is not so spreaded like in usa here in italy.
in Milano, where i live, there are a few very specialised shop where i can find almost everything.
fabrics are really expensive 18/19 euro per meter - one meter is a little more than 1 yard, but 18 euro are more than 18 bucks.
i buy most of my fabrics on the net from usa online shops because i have much more choice and furthermore i can have them earlier: when there is a new collection of fabric, i can see it in italy 3 months later, supposed that some shop has taken it.
and for books: only from usa and some from australia.
hugs
francesca

Welcome and glad to have you here. Honey sometimes our English isn't the greatest so you will fit right in. As long as you love quilting we speak the same language.

Franci,
Your English is excellent. I used to teach English As a Second Language. You will love this board. Everyone is very helpful. I have learned a lot from them. Show us your work too!
