I just cut around the embroidery to make a useable square and went from there. I think it was a 4 or 4.5in square. The rest of the bags I cut into strips and strip-pieced with the yellow. Then I cut those into joined triangles to match. I tried to do whatever I could to use all the purple felt of each bag.

I'm sure I've seen a similar pattern, but I don't know what it's called.

Very cool! My husband has a friend who is saving Crown bags in order to have a quilt made of them at some point. I didn't realize it was such a popular idea! :)

That one turned out pretty. There was a contest some place on line for those quilts made with those bags.
