I can see these blocks with black or natural muslin, or as someone suggested, yellow - how about yellow or muslin with black cornerstones, or black with yellow cornerstones- or maybe uneven stars as cornerstones, to add extra 'pow!' ? It will be stunning, no matter what you do with it - thank you for showing us these great blocks, such an easy design with such a spectacular result! Don't forget to show us how it turns out, thanks for sharing.
Oh, I can't wait to see what you come up with this pattern! I fell in love with these the instant I saw them (I'm a sucker for double pink), even tho they weren't particularly fancy or anything. They just appealed to me in their simplicity. I'll post when I get these made into something.

Black or dark grey, like your carpet, IMHO, or one then the other. TO enlrge it, if you want, you might consider an inner border of HST's on point, to continue the same mood.

I would go with black sashing and two borders - one black and one grey.

I like the look of the grey carpet the blocks are on. Makes them look soft look.

I think I would try a gray and see what that would look like since it is supposedly the new neutral now. Maybe a light gray for the sashing and a little darker gray or even black for the sashing blocks.

I am going with the muslin idea as well for a more traditional feel, black if you want to modernize or...or...denim!

Before seeing your post I said yellow. I agree you should test yellow. I think it will really bring it all togeather.
