    These are gorgeous! I may have to break down and buy a bag of crushed walnut shells after all. I hesitated wondering what I'd do with 10 lbs.

    Beautiful pincushions. I will have to remember that about the shells.

    I see I am not the only one who finds hand stitching relaxing. I after I machine sew the bindings on the back I finish them off by handsewing the front. I hem most of the clothes I make by hand.

    They are darling and wouldn't be as heavy as those filled with sand, nor as messy. I like the idea of walnut shells.
