It certainly does fit the bill and they will be thrilled when it is done as they will be able to do it without any trouble because of the simplicity of the pattern. Simple patterns sometimes make the most beautiful quilts.

I like it. Simple enough for a beginner but also very pretty.

It is a good starter. Gives them the basics of cutting, piecing and combining to make a quilt.

Thank you for all of your kind words of encouragement. I am excited, first class is Thursday. I was thinking this will take two 2-hour classes? They also mentioned paying for the classes, no clue about that? I think they will be offended if I don't take something, so I was thinking 5 per class for each???
