    Love the tutorials! I have several pieces of old fabric that I plan on cutting into 10" squares...What a quick, fun way to use them up!

    I think "starflower" is probably correct but my first thought was "lemoyne star". What it comes down to is that these blocks change their name as time goes by. Look how many names churn dash has. I googled star flower and got many hits on this block with that name and then tried lemoyne star and got the same thing. So there you go!

    Missouri Quilts on YouTube has a demo called the big star quilt. She demos in a 10 inch and 5 inch. VERY easy the way she does it.

    Lemoyne Star is made with 45* diamonds. This, Carpenter's star, is easier to make and I like it just as well.
