    CD's description of his "anvil" makes me think of my hand-me-down railroad track chunk. My father used it for cracking walnuts to fabricating metal. It's long enough to give support for any hammering I do, but small enough a strong person can move about. I will use it for hammering denim and canvas now I know that trick.
