Haha, my thoughts exactly! I was about half way round when I suddenly realised how terrible it looked. I didn't even consider removing it because it would be such a pain!

I got the idea for finishing it on this lovely forum! There's a tutorial by bad skirt if anyone wants it!

One more buttinsky. If you sew them together from the back, it does not show as much. And matching thread helps a LOT!!

    This looks like it'll work.

Please ignore how wonky the blanket stitch is! This was just a little trial to see what it would look like and I have already removed it because I have more quilting to do before the blanket stitch. If I do go ahead with it I will mark it so that all the stitches are equal.

Why not put right sides of each hexie together and whip stitching across the folds? Don't sew too closely together or you will weaken the fabric. You should not see the stitches from the right side.

I get in a dither when I figure out a better way about half way through a project.

Do I carry on and continue the way I started?

Do I undo it and start over?

Do I change methods ( when they will show) half way around?

Love your idea about sewing the flowers along the edge right sides together then flipping. I now know how to deal with my edges.

Could you do some hand embroidering on those edges? Treat it like a crazy quilt, you know, with the different fancy embroidery stitches?
