I used to belong to a group that made quilts for families that had lost their homes due to fire. I never did see where they went. I would love to see the people with the quilts they got.

My town has a group that helps foster children in distress. I donate all my quilts to them now. It's all volunteers. Foster kids rarely have anything to call their own and a quilt means the world to them especially to the teens. I try to put each quilt in a duffle or back pack. It was eye opening to find out the kids usually had to use a trash bag to transport their belongings when moved around.

There are so many places to donate. I do mine usually through my guild. They have a lot of places they give to and I always know they will end up somewhere where they are really needed.
