The first card kind of reminds me of the first wooden viewfinders. I don't remember the name. Stereographs(?) I wonder what would happen if you put it in one of these.

Not my picture, just one I googled.

Here's one on Craig's List. No, I'm not going to start buying the advertising too. I have really strong packrat/hoarder tendencies and it's just easier not to start. I avoid the toy sewing machines for the same reason.

I know what you mean Rodney - I've been so, so tempted to collect the Singer cards, no real reason to, except that they are out there and I don't have them. LOL!!!

But then I had a dream a few weeks ago about it being "my time" and realized I really don't want to leave all this for someone else to have to deal with!

So what do you think the subliminal message is in the second card image? Do you suppose Davis was trying to appeal as being “homey”, similar to a politician kissing babies at a rally?

    CD,

All in fun, I wasn't being serious. Looks like the kids got in the sugar or cookie jar and took a tumble. I did a little more research and came up with the saying "just another cog in the machine"

Last in series of trade cards is scenic pic with Davis sewing machine version of "A Psalm of Life" by Whitman. Both poems presented:
