How much would you pay for old quilting magazines?

Great question. I have a 20 year collection of several magazines. They just take up space. I have made arrangements to give them to my quilt guild. They will be made available to the membership to take. I hope they will enjoy them. I have over the years but have so many that it would be daunting to look through them again. So gone will be great!

I have to agree with some the others, yard salers expect really cheap stuff, but I do think 50 cents to 1.00 for the older ones and maybe 2.00 for the newer ones, and offer deals if they buy in qty.

Only one I ever bought was on ebay and I paid $5 because it was over thirty years old. Digital mags are gaining in popularity so they don't have to save them. I value my magazines and have every one I've ever gotten, which as my husband has pointed out numerous times takes up a lot of space. We are both pack rats so it goes.

I am doing some major clearing and decluttering. I have a bunch of old quilting magazines that have to go. If I sell them at a yard sale, what do you think a fair price would be? Twenty-five cents? Fifty? They are all in excellent shape, no bent pages, no tears, pattern sheets never used. I also have a stack of counted cross stitch patterns, same price for them?

I paid 5/$1.00 for some Garden Gate magazines. Not quilting, but it was a garden show. I spent 16.00. I've read one so far. You must come to the realization that they made more then one of them.

At a garage sale .25 to .50 and give a deal if they take large quantities or all of them.
It dosen't hurt to try selling on eBay or amazon I recently, last night, spent $9.00 on a 2008 BHG Quilts and gifts magazine that I have been looking for because of a pattern I know is in it and want. get this there were 3 for sale from different people 2 of them were listed as vintage and a price of $134 :-0

Look on eBay for an idea of pricing. A lot depends upon how old they are. If they are more than 10 years old, you would probably get between $.50-$1.00 each. If they are less than 5 years old I would ask $1.50-$2.00 each. You can always lower the price or give a quantity discount like 4 for $5.00.
