    Those are lovely. What a great way to reuse that shirt. Love the yellow you put with the elephants especially the binding.

    I just cut a square around the elephants and when it came to quilting, echo quilted by hand around each one. Every one of these elephants was hand applied by whoever did the batik, each one is slightly different in size, expression and shape, something I didn't notice until I got into construction. The shirt was of good quality, but it had never been worn (there were elephants on the back as well. I'm glad you like it, I was worried it wouldn't turn out .

    They turned out awesome and sounds like you are a busy loving gramma, that is super! Very nice how the shirt turned into a quilt, clever idea.
