Hey Joe, you should just send it to me and tell her that's what happens when you don't use something. Lol

They cost more back then. Prices are down on Ebay. If you watch carefully, they can still be had for under $200. I paid $167 for mine and it is in very nice shape. Buy attachments carefully as the ones for low foot Singers will fit the FW and you won't want to buy attachments on FW sites, as they are very high. Sew-Classic.com has replacement felts for the underside of the machine and they will make it smell better too. They aren't expensive. They have all kinds of things that will fit your machine at very reasonable prices. Good luck.

Yea for you....enjoy....it's even fun to take care of them. Mine are all going to grand daughters if I ever get tired of them.

Default Name?

Never thought before about naming a sewing machine, but I can see why now after getting my new "baby"....

I resisted the lure of the FW for awhile too, but then I just had to have one and now I love it. I just want to cuddle it, it's so cute!

I named mine Patricia after her original owner - I bought it from the original owner's granddaughter.

Congratulations! Glad you were able to acquire a FW. They are a neat little machine -- being light-weight, I CAN move one of those with my bad back, but I can't move my 403A or my 328K. Haven't tried to move my 201-2. I just don't see the sense of doing something stupid! My son got my white FW for a real bargain at GoodWill Store ($50.00, with no case and no attachments) but that can be remedied easily. My FW was and is in absolute pristine condition and sews wonderfully!

By and large, I have to agree that the majority of the FW Machines appear (IMHO) to be over-priced. I've been cruising around for a FW for a gift for my cousin in Oklahoma, but I've not found anything priced within my means or within what I want to spend, so I keep looking!

Your machine and the case are in very good condition! You got a really good deal!
