    Thank you for sharing this information. My mother-in-law made quilts for my kids years ago and they are still functioning. Consequently they seem to think if it is not tied it is not a quilt. lol I use the crochet thread but will try the yarn on my next quilt.

    That is a gorgeous piece in the middle - no wonder you didn't want to cut it. Sometimes I think I'm more of a fabric collector/lover than I am a quilter.
