I managed to get my block #89 Ruby done. I did find a blooper when taking the picture, and dear hubby pointed it out to me.

The red fabric is a red with blotches of red throughout it. This was a bit different, but my interpretation of Ruby. See the little triangle blooper on the left side? It was suppose to end with the tiny red corner bit, and I over looked it and when all the way with the yellow. It will be an easy fix.

Pretty block, JuneBillie. I didn't even see the missing red triangle until you pointed it out! Your hubby has a good eye!

SBG he was pointing out the other strips that don't quite match that we all were talking about. I told him that is how it was. He got out a diagram to look at it, and said it was. He is my inspector!

Yah, you should teach him to sew! He has the perfectionist gene which makes a great quilter, LOL.

I guess I had a deep need to make a mistake on every single block. I guess you can see where there are two identical patches side by side? Maybe I should call it By Hook or by Crook instead of Squirrely. lol

Oh good, Sewbizgirl! I still have the hardest time with these shapes and flipping them. I cut all the paper piecing pieces extra big because I get mixed up about which direction it's gonna land once the piece is sewn. I try not to think of all the extra fabric I'm using. I just keep thinking about all I'm learning lol That helps!

JuneBillie, stay warm! It's in the 20's again tonight here in Dallas, and I keep feeding the woodstove.
