While pressing what seemed like countless strips this weekend, I thought of the woman who said her husband did all her pressing. How great that would be, too!

I think it comes down to - do you WANT to be together more - or is quilting one's time to do something by oneself?

Angela, I see what your strategy is--clever girl! You know men and their power tools... My husband helped me to make a Halloween costume once. I had high hopes that he would join me with quilting, but he shows no interest. I guess the upside is that I don't have to share my toys.

LOL MIne does come in my bubble too but thankfully he has a whole wood working shop in our garage to keep him distracted. Quilting is addicting. Now you can both buy goodies together. Maybe he needs his own machine. LOL

My husband has several sewing machines set up in the main sewing room, though he decided he does not like sewing as much as he thought he would. He really enjoys using the computerized system with the longarm - so I let him do the quilts tops that I don't have specific plans for.

A while back DH seemed to show an interest in putting fabric together. He made a small quilt for our furbaby. Nothing spectacular, he cut the pieces as he went like a crazy quilt, little pieces. He had mentioned the sewing room definitely needed a makeover. He made my huge cabinet which I love and thanked him for it. BUT I had to clean up after him, (errr) and he sent his mother and sister a text with photo attached of the quilt and said; " I sew and quilt better than she does!" I was hurt and said I didn't know we were competing!! It's 4'x4' and the dog has nearly shredded it. He doesn't understand how that could happen. When you use scraps no larger than 1 1/2" and quilt 4" apart, doggie toes and teeth will shred it. He received a text reply and was asked why he still believes he has to compete with everyone? If he wants to sew, he can find his own machine and room to sew.

I taught my husband to quilt and he does a nice job! We have more than one machine which helps a lot. We work together on projects which is a lot of fun!

My hubby will help me when I am really busy...he loves working with the Qbot V3 on my TL18LS. I set up the blocks for the row, and pull in the first design...writing down the instructions for him as I go...once I do the setup of the first row...and he has instructions at hand...he is a happy camper. I know he thinks it's making him an expert...and I keep telling him he needs to try freehand...not happening.
