I have only had iPhones. Shared a different phone with my husband before I got the iPhone. Saw the tracphones on QVC and thought I would try one to lower the cost. Tried it for a month and sent it back. All my family has iphones. The tracphone had trouble talking to the iPhone. We couldn't get it to work and I cannot be without my phone (How did I raise 4 children without a cell phone?). Sent it back to QVC and went back to my iPhone.

no help here, I still use the old flip phone. I can text and take pictures with it. All the stories I hear about those smartphones and people using them for everything from banking to linking a credit card to it (smart pay) and having it stolen or lost. Too much of a risk for me to take and besides no thief would want my flip phone.

I have Consumer Cellular through our AAA home and auto insurance, it gives us a $10 discount. I pay $43. per month for 2 phones, one is a flip phone and the other is a smart phone, I did have to buy the smart phone for $79. and We share minutes and we never use them up. I mostly use it to text my kids, (they never respond to messages).

Do you have Metro PCS or Cricket in your area? My phone is a Metro PCS. I have unlimited data, texting, calling anywhere in US,, camera internet, games--way more stuff than I will ever use for $30. a month. No buying minutes just $30. plain and simple. It's better than sliced bread!

You should be able to keep your old number. When we bought ours at the AT & T store, the tech who sold them to us set them up for us. It took about 15 minutes for him to do. I'd advise going back to the store if they have tech support to do it for you. If not, you may want to wait for someone to come help you with it. It's not easy---sometimes even the techs have trouble because each phone is different.
