Looking good so far.
I am trying to use up red, white and blue scraps. I have strips different lengths and widths. I sewed them together and trimming to 8-1/2". I have some squares I have trimmed to 8-1/2". I will try for a pleasing arrangement. It will be for donation.

I like it! I love scrappy quilts. I've been saving all my scraps and can't wait to put one together. I like how yours can use some pretty small pieces.

Tartan, I like the black strips. For your next block, will you abut it at a 90 degree angle to this one, or are you planning
to have them all join vertically? Just curious what the pattern in your mind is.

Zozee, my original idea was to turn them every other block but I think I will do all the black strips verticle. Here are 2 blocks together with the 1 inch strip between them but not sewn in yet.
