    Hi Nesie, Yes, I did use batting and fleece for the backing. The batting is Warm & Natural. I have so many leftover odd pieces, that I pieced the batting to fit the quilt. Not only is a scrappy quilt great for using up scraps, it's also great for using up batting pieces!
