Green, it really Pops the color of the squares. Or try a rust/red.

I vote for the green. I would definitely not use the print as the tiny print square in the middle of the blocks in the second picture just makes the blocks get lost.

Beautiful! I love the green. Certainly not the print... it hides your hard work. I think the green gives the blocks the contrast they need.

I love it with that green! Your blocks are gorgeous and the green really makes them sing.

Another vote for the green here. It certainly makes the beauty of the blocks pop.

Green looks great and really sets off the glorious fabric. If you're still auditioning, I like the suggestions of trying sage and black. You'll know when it feels right.

#1--the newly created design gets lost
#2--acceptable. What does a creamy color similar to the background of the fabric look like?
#3--maybe a bit dark but a nice blender and works. Like the others who have suggested, a sage green or one more like what is in the piece would be worth auditioning. I'm not a great fan of that much black. Black tends to fade and become brown. I like the idea of using setting triangles and then sashing to set each design to itself. Beautiful quilt coming around!
