Years ago I found a quilt top in an antique store in St. Augustine, Florida. It was badly damaged and so it was cheap but it was a hand pieced scrappy log cabin. Some of the pieces were 1/2" x 1" and odd shapes. I bought it and removed the badly damaged pieces and then I added borders, quilted it and I use it in my spare bedroom. I don't care about the value but everyone who sees that quilt loves it and I can't even remember which pieces I replaced. If you love it; use it.
