So...after you design your pattern you have to figure out how much fabric each shape requires, how much yardage you need and how it goes together? :-(

Nancy--I read that too..and wondered (so I hope someone answers) but I figured I've been making enough quilts now that I know the shorts cuts. Fabric requirements would be good though.

From the EQ site, I think it does give that info???

    Anyone? :?:

EQ will tell you the yardage needed and it's very generous. It will convert all straight line blocks to paper piecing and number the order of the piecing for that. It will give you rotary cutting sizes, appliqué,and template sizes. It has quiting designs and pieced borders. There are no instructions how to sew the block together. There may be that in the built in videos, I haven't gotten that far into it. There is so much in the program!

Yippee Karla!! Warning...you will be spending some of your sewing time on the computer though. I have EQ5 and love it! I always use it to play with the layout and colors. It is really really fun....there is so much in the program that I guess the next thing they will add will be that it will sew it together for you!  Merry Christmas!!!

That is so great!!! I've been thinking about getting it for awhile. The only reason I haven't is because I haven't had much time for the computer lately. My sewing room is filled with furniture from other rooms as we are remodeling & installing new carpet & flooring. We have my Mom & Dad moving in with us in January so that I can help take care of mom. They just sold their house that they lived in since 1960. I miss my quilting time but I want the house to be nice for them when they move in & right now that's keeping me very busy. Hope you enjoy your new EQ6. I can't wait to see the neat quilts you will be making!!
