Nora’s on point quilt top
#23
Good work, Nora. You have a good teacher who will help you to become a good quilter. Be proud of your first quilt. The colors are beautiful and yes, the border of dark purple frames your finish in a bold and interesting way.

Wow, that's SO pretty! The on point setting really elevates it. I don't love making on point quilts as I find them harder, but it really changes the look of this quilt. What a great job she did with layout and seam matching.
Thank you to both of you for sharing in inspiring.

Oh Nora....It's a lovely quilt! I hope you enjoyed it enough to plan another one soon. Also, county fairs are coming up soon and I hope you enter your beautiful quilt when it is finished. Your grandma is such a blessing and a great mentor for you!

Nora, I love everything about your quilt: the colors, the layout and the perfect seams. You did an amazing job with your grandma's help and you are developing skills that will carry you through your lifetime. I'm so jealous that you live close enough to share this special time together. Unfortunately my grandchildren live halfway across the country. Thanks for sharing and show off your handiwork with pride for a job well done. By the way my favorite picture is of you in the middle of your quilt with a big smile!

Your story is so exciting! It's wonderful when these skills are passed down through the family. Your granddaughter's quilt is gorgeous! An on-point quilt is not usually what one chooses for a first quilt, but she did a fabulous job!
