New machine

My wife actually has a higher end Pfaff than mine (which she handed down to me when she bought the new one). Maybe she will want the Juki when she uses it; time will tell. Either way we will both have nice machines. The munchkin has always loved the Featherweight and I think she’s intimidated by our machines. She does really well with it and I love seeing her sewing her 9-patches. I think she will be a quilter someday.

Start with the @ symbol and start typing the name of the user you want to tag. The board will suggest users, and you just keep typing til you see the one you want, then click it.

It's nice that you all have your common interest in the sewing/quilting. Though I do have to laugh at your thought that your munchkin is intimidated by the new-fangled machines! So many kids of this computer generation would just turn their nose up at that "old black thing" without all the computer glitzy stuff! What a great kid you have raised!!

@bearisgray I can’t take credit for finding it. Someone tagged me a while back and I think I got some kind of notification (I could be mistaken about that). On Facebook you use the @ symbol to tag people so I thought I’d try it here and it worked. Did you get notified that you’d been tagged?
@QuiltE I’m definitely NOT smarter than the average bear. The older I get the more I realize this. 🤓
we have always thought it was funny that Emmaline is fascinated with computers, phones, tablets, etc but gravitated to the 1951 model sewing machine. I think it’s because it IS a machine that makes noise and moves. Our machines are full size and louder so I think she thinks the small, quiet FW is less threatening. And she was much smaller when she started sewing so the size part was more extreme.
