I got the binding on the 60x80 guy quilt. Went on very nicely using my stitch in the ditch foot. I sure wish I had thought of that application a long time ago. After spending waaaay too long auditioning binding fabrics for my scrappy show quilt, I finally decided on something non-traditional. Photos tomorrow.

Right now, I need to think about some supper. We just got home from 'the big city'. Oldest grand lost her hockey game, youngest grand won hers this morning but lost this afternoon. We were glad for the opportunity to watch them play.

I thought I had better post a progress photo because I don't know how much more I will get done this evening. Cleopatra's Fan plus inspector. Hope to get another row connected this evening but I need to do some baking for tomorrow also. I will have tomorrow evening to keeping working some more. Taking my time so nothing gets twisted up or miss placed. Then Monday and Tuesday I will add a dark green sashing that will finish at 3" and then a white final frame of about 8". This should make the quilt a queen size which was what was requested by the future owner of the quilt. Adjustments along the way on the final two rounds to make it big enough but not too big for the women who will be doing the quilting.

Oh, goodness he is just so cute! I am assuming that the lion is part of a series. What are your plans for these little beasts?

thimblebug6000--I have done a couple of the pumpkinpatchbc.com block of the months but forgot all about that site this year! I think I may have to buy the first three blocks to catch up .

Did a little prep work for some wool applique and then worked on hand embroidery at our guild sew-in today. Tomorrow I'm not sure how much time I'll get in the sewing room. DH and I are going to watch a couple Easter services for prospective churches after the move. Then the Yankees play at 1:40.

I'm happy so many of you are quilting with me this weekend. I wasn't sure how many would be available this weekend. I'll check back in tomorrow.

Ha ha ha. It's 40 ft of border about 7" wide. Took 3+ days. And I'm sunburned. Two days I could hardly walk. Daughter is a little better because she's in better shape. But she worked harder so she sore too. We did develop a pattern. Not perfect but I'm very satisfied.

I got two blocks of a no-point star quilt ( in Christmas scraps, no less!) and a partial vacuum of a messy sewing room floor done. Happy Easter!
