Finished the glue basting, cut binding, and started to sew it on. This morning finished sewing the binding and now I'm hand sewing the binding. Should have it done soon, toss it into the wash...another quilt for Project Linius!!!

I have lost my sewing mojo, I know we all go through this from time to time. I have read on here when others have gone through this and the advice I have read at times has been to reorganize your fabric. I decided to refold and reorganize all my fabric this weekend, and it worked. I found some fabric and I have planned several baby quilts to make with it. I found coordinating fabric and backing while refolding and am again looking forward to being at my lovely sewing machine. I must admit, I found only two matching fabrics in all my bins while refolding that I was unaware of having two of, I did weed out a few fabrics that I am not in love with any longer, those went into a donate pile. And I always thought I had a lot of batiks and while refolding I noticed I have used more than I realized and will need to be on the lookout for good batik bargins to add to my stash. It felt so good to be in my sewing space and planning a project. It is a long story, but I had to order new glasses, so am just waiting for those to come before starting the baby quilts, hopefully they will be here later this week so I can sew next weekend during VQW. Until then, again, this board and it's advise has helped me tremendously, happy sewing everyone, enjoy.

I don't think I managed to get anything accomplished in the sewing department this weekend. I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and crashed this week. I have light therapy I use daily but also try to get some actual sunlight. This winter has been so cold and dreary that I haven't been able to add any natural sunlight. Compared to the issues some have to deal with SAD doesn't sound that bad, but when it takes you down paths too dark to speak about it can be. My husband is wonderfully helpful anytime but especially during my SAD periods. I'm struggling, but this will pass. When I get back to my usual frisky self, I will be sewing up a storm.
