We have double addiction at our house...DH and I BOTH are quilters, and we BOTH love and have to have fabric!! He used to be my "controller", but since he learned to quilt, that control is gone. Only partially kidding....we do have lots of fabric in our stash, but we normally buy just for what we are working on, plus a few little extras that we just can't walk away from. Wait.....was that an excuse for buying fabric that I don't need? Hmmm..I think YES!!

Welcome to the fabric addiction world. Glad you joined us. Now, start learning where all the quilt shops are and don't forget to check thrift shops as they sometimes have good quality fabric there as well. FYI: Never ask yourself "Do I really need this fabric?" The answer is always YES!!!!!

You are so lucky. THere are 6 Walmarts within 45 minutes of my home and not one of them still carry fabric. When they did, they were always busy but Sam's kids decided there wasn't any money in fabric so they took it out. Sam was a pretty sharp fellow, I think, his kids not so much.

I had to go and buy an armoire for all my material. Fortunately I found a beautiful piece of furniture at the local Goodwill store for a fabulous price. I live in a "Granny" cottage and don't have that much room, but that doesn't stop me. (I also have a good supply of yarn which I am now slowly diminishing). You will find uses for whatever material you buy; I use some of it to make baby clothes with a local church group; some to teach my granddaughters how to quilt and the rest - I just know I will find a use for it. So when you find a piece that you just absolutely must have, get it and have no regrets.
