Since I got a flat screen tv and basic cable in my sewing room, I have HGTV on, very seldom look at it, just need noise, I'm usually lost in whatever I'm working on. I love all kinds of music and lots of cassettes, and cds, I don't listen much, I have to sing and Jig around, it's a good alone thing. Maybe I'll start listening when I retire.

I have Pandora on my computer. I choose what kind of music I want and can listen and sew for hours.

Classical. Anything with piano or violin. Love it.

I like quiet with outside sounds (wind, rain, birds), but I'm another classic rock fan. Chasing Hawk's first three are three of my favorites, too (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seger, Gordon Lightfoot). Most of you wouldn't think so, but I find Led Zeppelin very relaxing! Anything with drums (not bass).

I also like softer rock and folk-rock.

Also some New Age, specifically Kitaro, Yanni and Vangelis.

Mostly Nora Jones, but I like to leave the windows open and enjoy the Bird sounds too.

I sometimes put on the classic rock station when I'm sewing, but usually I don't think to.
When I'm in the car, now THAT's a different story. I find classic rock relaxing for me, I listen to everything from Journey to Zeppelin, to Skynyrd, STYX, Fleetwood Mac... I'm all over the map. It's weird because each and every one of those bands was popular before I was even born. I don't like the music the popular stations play today, it's all garbage :(
I grew up listening to my dad's music, so I guess that's why 70's rock appeals to me. I also work on cars for a living, just like my daddy, he's really influenced my life!

Yep, same here. I like to listen for all the layers of music, the complexity of it all is fascinating for me, relaxing but never boring :) Zeppelin rocks!

Native American Flute Music is what I love to listen to when sewing or scrapbooking.
