    Wow,

thanks you guys. I appreciate the comments. I have never really shared my quilts with anyone but family, and it feels good to get honest feedback.
The way the idea came to me was kind of funny, I was doing a project for a college class I am taking right now ( I'm pursuing my Bachelor's). I was doing a powerpoint presentation, downloaded a picture of a quilt that came across in black and white. The technique is the one where you sew the strips in a circle then un-sew them according to a chart. Honestly, it just flew together once I got to a certain point. Anyway, thanks al lot

ok, lol, I probably did not describe it very well. You cut the fabric in strips, then sew the strips in order from lightest to darkest. Then you sew that piece into a big circle. After that, you cut the thing into 2 " (or whatever size). It makes a big circle of blocks cut the appropriate size in the right order. Then, the pattern comes with a chart that you use to rip the seam between the appropriate blocks and sew those together. It works quite well, and I think it must be so much faster than cutting a bigillion little 2 " squares and piecing them the other way!

The name of the pattern is Colorsplash Trip around the world, by Piecemakers. I bought the pattern about a year back. It took me a while to gather all my shades of black and white! :) Thanks everyone for all the compliments!
