@Jan C - lol, i already have 4 projects lined up, each one using a different pattern that does not seem too very difficult. I am striving for something pretty at the same time not too complicated.

@gaigai - Thanks for giving me the answer to what i have been wondering all this time... Local Quilt Shops (LQS). I had no idea what LQS was until you wrote it out for me, thanks!

@Bottle Blonde - Where do you live now? I have only lived in the Bay Area for about 5 years. I use to live in Michigan, but i would come to California all the time for vacations... now i do not have to spend so much money coming to Cali for a vacation because i live here now. lol.

@ Dkabasketlady - Yes! It surely is addictive. I have already spent more than i should have on fabrics. I just cannot get enough of all those beautiful colors and thinking of ways to put them to good use.

Welcome from the north east. Glad to see you've already found lots of friendly people and wonderful pictures. There is a tutorial section here; there might be something there to learn a new technique.

You've got some fabrics and tools already. You can use the search feature here to look for threads about new quilters and the tools they need.

Good luck! :)
