Welcome to the board from another Texan! Rail Fence is an easy pattern, and looks really nice when it's finished. You might start with a lap size for your first try. Have fun!

Just came on here today and enjoying all your're imput, I am starting to learn quilting and getting a much information as possible to get started on something more intricate than just plain squares. Love all the beautiful quilts on here. !!!
