    I just used my scrap fabris for it. I used the tube quilting method to make the block and then just added what I needed to make it a placemat size.

    Well I took the placemat to my FIL along with a new plant for him to take care of. Ha Ha. He has one plant that he takes really good care of because when he was in the hospital we forgot about it being at his apt. and it nearly died. He calls it sugar babe. lol.. Now he has Lil Jeffrey to talk to too. He loved them both but I have to admit his table needs another one so it does not look lopsided.

    I did something similar...wanted to try out machine quilting and binding. Now my DGS has a Christmas placemat. The quilting turned out better than the binding...had to redo some of it.
