Whose wall?
Mine is just flannel, so the quilt pieces just stick to it.

I took some cheapo flannel and taped it to the wall. The fabric sticks right to the fabric when it is just blocks. As you start sewing the blocks together and making the pieces bigger it can get heavy, so I just use some strategically placed straight pins to hold them on the wall at that time. Most pieces that are smaller than say 18" x 18" will stick on their own without the pins.

The blocks you see on my wall right now are just holding onto the flannel by themselves.

Some people use batting instead of flannel...I think things would adhere better to the batting...but since I used flannel, that's what is still up on my design wall.

Anyone have any ideas? Sorry, the colors are a little off.
Here's my suggestion: Green and beige sashing strips (maybe green diamonds) with purple (pieced square in a square) corner squares. Here's where a design wall really pays off to preview your designs!

My design wall is pending. We purchased 4 large sheets of styrofoam to cover the former garage door. (Work in progress)

I don't have a wall board. Sooooo this is what my two bedrooms look like that I cut and sew in. I have several things going as you can tell.

Thank you for your suggestion Quilttiludrop! Those are colors I would like to use!
I will probably not get a chance to play with it until later in the week.

Mine is just a piece of white fleece, hung up with two clip-type pants hangers on the rim of the closet door. The fabric blocks just stick to the fleece
