Some of my give-aways go to church projects, right now I am using my time on quilts for a reservation where winter is a real chiller. Our small group also donates quilts to an auction where the money goes to Life Skills, for adults who need a little boost.

I don't belong to any group....but make preemie quilts for our local hospitals. About 15-16 inches square, or oblong, whatever. Using all sorts of scraps and odd pieces. I know that sounds small, but those babies are very tiny!
The quilts go together so fast, and the preemie wards are always grateful. I make them in between other projects and when I have a dozen or so, a friend delivers them.
There are lots of local places to donate to as well ....battered women shelters are very important.

I sew for Operation Quiet Comfort, Quilts of Valor, Project Linus, WAS/WTIL and other groups that ask for completed quilts or blocks.

I do quilts for a group called Soldier's Angels. They have a multitude of people who make different things; and while I was recovering from surgery, I crocheted lap afghans for the VA's that they support.

I also belong to Quilt for Kids. I really enjoy it. I normally will create a couple from my stash, then send away for one of their kits, then ship them all together.
