I came across a soy-cotton blend by Pellon at my WalMart yesterday - really soft - almost silky feeling. Softer than 100% cotton. Was about $2 more per yard than 100% cotton for the 45" width. Didn't see it in the 90" width. Didn't buy as there hasn't been any talk about it's bearding or lack there of.

Has anybody experienced soy batting & does it beard?

hi from alaska! don't know how they make batting and yarn out of soy beans or plants, but the yarn is soft and silky, too. haven't gotten past warm and natural or polyester batting.

    Hello from NE PA -

    Where is Indiana PA?

Except for the weekends when DH is home - a few of the ladies here know that I am pretty lonely too - you're not alone!
Indiana is about 40 miles NE of Pittsburgh. Where are you?

Welcome from Kentucky. I haven't heard anything about soy batting either but I promise I won't chew on a corner of your quilt. Wink-wink
