Yes, Medford got it a lot worse. I have a sister in Roseberg and they got inundated.

We've lived here 24 years and it has never gotten really bad with the snow. But, we have been trapped on our hill because of the floods.

I miss those snow storms. I was raised in the north also, and now in NM if we get an inch, the world closes. When I was working at at Dr. office, when I'd make an appt. for someone, in the winter, they would say "but if it snows I won't be here". Could never understand that. Northern MN had the most gorgeous ice storms. We had 8 acres of pine trees and I'd wake up to some of the most beautiful mornings. As soon as the sun hit them, it would melt. Have not seen a REAL snow or ice storm in 5 years now.

I can understand why you don't like it. My sister lives near Syracuse, and one year my brother-in-law sent me a picture of a street....LOL....the snow was deeper than the diggers digging out the road. If I remember right it was something ridiculous like 140".

I saw that first picture and a smile spread across my face. I love snow - I love when it's snowing (it's so quiet). Good thing too - I live in New Hampshire. This is my favorite season of the year. Many people say 'Oh you must be buried in the winter!", but I think you folks in the west and midwest have some of the worst blizzards going, usually worse that we do.
There is nothing more peaceful than quilting at your machine in a warm cozy house while the snow falls outside your window.
