I use tone on tones or blenders but once in a while, I use a solid black. I like mixing tones and textures with prints.

I instinctively buy patterns. Often have to go shopping for the right "solid" to go with whatever I am working with!

I have no solids in my stash, though it's not something I ever thought about. When I want a "solid" I buy a tone on tone print : )

Me too. I rarely use solids. I love the tone-on tone which blend into a solid but have that little bit of pop sometimes when you need it.

Only purchased one or two solids. Seldom use them.

If it's on sale it's for me. I love the primary color solids.

I rarely use a solid as it is so flat in the quilt, seems to suck energy out. A fabric that reads as solid reflects the light in a different way which I prefer. Over the years, I've managed to cull the solids from my stash--yea for me! used up some stash--
