WOW! That quilt is gorgeous. I'm adding a copy of this to my "ideas" album just for personal inspiration and evidence of the level I can aspire to. Someday....

i'm thinking the hearts are half sq triangles for the pointed part of the heart and a finished circle (reversible) cut in half and placed inside the raw edges of the border. then hand stitched down.... lovely.
