Did the New York Beauty Blocks go to sleep---did I miss something along the way? I just started up again, and finally got it to where the curves are coming a little easier. Haven't seen any pictures or activities for a long time.

I agree, it seems some of us did not get the patterns before the links were deactivated. Thank goodness I downloaded all of them in a couple of places.
I had asked for some help on Block #8 but heard nothing. Not one person responded. this lead to me believe nobody was on task anymore.

Boy am I ever disappointed.
I came in to view this thread and to see if anyone really did leave me a note as to what to do with this NYB block. I was so stumped with it, that I had not looked at it for over a month. April 24th to be exact.
Not even Kristen has responded.
Never fear though, I had to run to town and get some help with block #8 and they are now completed.
This is why I normally do not join in groups on the internet, everyone can disappear too easy. At least, this gave me the courage to start a new quilting concept.

Rainagade, I'm sorry you feel this way. I didn't start this project so I can't help you but I'm glad you did get some help. It's not always this way. At least one group on this board has been together for several years now.

On the 12/10 my husband lost his job,
on 12/17 he left me,
on 12/23 I was in a car accident, I have been in physical therapy done with that,
on 12/31 I came down with shingles on my eyelid imagine that all the stress
then in May my husband wanted to work on the marriage but lied about the affair, the other woman got pregnant . . . my life has been a soap orera and barely liveable. I live in Salem Oregon if you want together and still need help I would be happy some weekend to meet up with you. I did FINALLY sew some more blocks this weekend!

I was watching this thread in the hope of being able to start at some stage and was disappointed to see it come to a halt.
Kristen I also am so sorry to hear of all that has befallen you recently and I hope that things start to look a little brighter for you soon.

Wow. You have been through a really bad patch. My heart goes out to you. I wish I did live close by. Please know that there are others out there who have been there, done that, and have the t-shirt. We'll be there to support you.
I am glad to see that you took a little bit of time for you, and sewed up a few blocks. Caressing fabric has therapeutic value. Try to pamper yourself every day. It might be as little as sitting down for five minutes with a cup of tea, but take it as "me" time.
I, too, have quit making the NYB quilt, but perhaps I should get at it again.
Hugs to you Kristen.
