Scrappy Quilt show - Right Here!! :)

I sometimes forget about this thread until I get notifications of recent posts and it seems everyone has been busy lately.
Boston, you certainly do beautiful scrappy quilts...especially love the log cabin and heart quilt.
SBG, I saw your post in “pictures” and love your scrappy finishes too...particularly the first one that looks like a chevron.
Oksewglad, your grandson’s quilt looks so cozy and warm.
Here is a scrappy project that I’ve been working on from Amanda Nyberg Jean’s book “No Scrap Left Behind” It has been a fun project and goes together quickly. I work on it on Wednesdays when I join a group of ladies at our LQS for “open sew.” It is an easy pattern that allows you to enjoy conversation without having to concentrate too much. LOL

Wedding Quilt
Here is my first finish for 2019, destined to be a wedding quilt for my daughter-in-law's brother and his bride. The pattern is from "Fantastic Stash Quilts" by Joyce Dean Gieszler and in the book is called Snowbirds. I was told the bride's favorite color is purple and the groom's is blue so that dictated the fabric choices. When the quilt was all done, though, I attended a party where the bride was present and she said her favorite color is turquoise! Hope she likes it anyway ...

Thanks. Zoom in and check out my octopus fabric....
Those are just string blocks, sewn with the white fabric and cut diagonally into HSTs. Then you can arrange them in any pattern you can do with HSTs. I thought it was more fun than just a regular string quilt. Did it make a dent in my strings stash? No....
